As the year progresses, you can pull on a stitch that unwinds, allowing the calendar’s months to diminish as time passes. This whimsical Unraveling Calendar reminds us to seize each day before it has completely unfurled. Created by designer Patrick Frey, this annual calendar is actually an oblong scarf made of ash grey cotton knit. As the days go by, pull on the loose thread at the bottom, unravel it slowly, and watch as it creates a heap of soft yarn.
The Tasting Tray is fascinated with food - from soil to kitchen, table, and palette. Inspired by the activity around tasting menus, it is designed to speak to the counter of a kitchen and the surface of a table, constantly moving between where food is prepared and where food is consumed. It's form is versatile. Use the tray on its belly with the apron angled down to hug and lock with the edge of a surface. Use it on it's back with the apron pointed up as a black splash. Or use on a tilt, giving food a gentle lift. Over time, the tasting tray carries the story of the experimentation with and enjoyment of food.
Interested in taking the Tasting Tray out of the kitchen? Try it with your laptop, sketchbook, or with breakfast in bed.
