DETAILS: At first, all you can smell is a faint spark; something sharp and bright leading down the fuse to a fragrant explosion. Literally, this perfume starts very quiet and takes about ten minutes for the fuse to burn down. Synthesized with the finest raw materials, Pipe Bomb moves from scent to scent within its composition, dazzling with each shift. Like an underwater firecracker bundled with incense, light saltwater notes meld with hot metal to create an inviting, warm glove that shapes differently to fit each wearer's hand. Legal in all 50 states.
DETAILS: Ophir is defined by the marriage between sandalwood and tonka bean, accentuated by nuance. Both sandalwood and tonka are characteristically soft, smooth constituents, so care and attention was devoted to mediating the peaceful, enveloping pairing of the two with other, sharper notes, to allude back to the idea that this is at its heart a perfume about wood. A gentle and meditative yet vigorously evocative sandalwood accord was formed through combining sandalwood with amyris and a complex raw wood blend made with cedar and other exotic woods, tree leaves, frankincense, and opopanax. Rose hip seed, pistachio, and hazelnut make this a remarkably original and unforgettable accord by intensifying the the intricacy of the sandalwood and contributing a hint of dry nuttiness. Touches of rose and lavender lend depth and further accent this woody arrangement. In contrast with the raw wood notes but in agreement with the sandalwood, a creamy, redolent tonka bean accord formed with tonka absolute and ambrette seed occupies the air above the wood notes and provides buoyancy and lift to the perfume. Delicately dusted over the composition are notes of saffron, bay, cubeb, and nutmeg, which give further dimensionality with spice, and at the very base, a monument of exquisite vetiver lay the roots upon which this blend is built.
