In November 1985, Andy Warhol traveled from New York to Detroit promoting his new publication America with a scheduled stop at the DIA for a special book signing.
Warhol took time for an interview with Colby and staff photographer Michelle Andonian joined them along with Warhol’s assistant Christopher Makos. The group had breakfast on the top floor restaurant of the Ponchatrain Hotel where Warhol took in the view of the city (he later remarked in his diary that Detroit was so sprawling, it reminded him of Los Angeles).

About The Artist
David Shrigley is a Scottish artist who has come to prominence through his drawings, publications and sculptural works. His drawings have a kind of throwaway beauty featuring monster children, idiots, aliens and bad parents. Full of twisted lists and exchanges, Shrigley is a TDD favourite both for his angst about modern living, his disappointments and his cynicism.

The Esington Glass helps you develop a timeboxing habit. What is timeboxing? Basically it allocates a fixed time period to each planned activity, especially used by project management teams. Each Esington Glass is hand blown from a single piece of glass, making each vessel unique. Visually it’s beautiful to look at. It’s filled with millions of solid steel nano-spheres. As the spheres bounce around the glass chaotically, they produce a wonderful white noise. They are quality checked for finish and filled by hand for accurate timing. With one at your disposal, you get to force yourself to focus on a single task until your time runs out.
The Esington Method uses the Esington Glass as the timer and boils down to 3 simple steps:
